Frankenstein: Romanticism

England had changed in social, economic and political aspects between the late 18th and 19th century that marked an important development in all the world connected with the economy and the art in the country. The most important movement was Romanticism influenced in feelings in relation to the role of spirit, soul and emotions.Besides, poetry a prose caused an important change in literature. In the novel, there was a monster whose feelings were prominent in literature.
To begin, an important tool related with romanticism was emotion. This aspect was quite visible in more than one chapter of Shelly’s novel. For example, when the monster had to interact with human life.He had an influence by the genre because Shelley’s work was one of great merit in romanticism. The creature developed observation and hard work in understanding humanity. He tried to be accepted but he was not acceptable in human society.
The monster felt horror and cruel he realized that he was not a human and he was a monster. He suffered in appearance. He said that if he cannot inspire love he would cause fear. The rebellion of the creature against its creator is a clear message that derived from the irresponsible use of technology and the possible consequences that I could relate with the time of Industrial Revolution.
Poetry and prose were an important aspect to mention in the Romanticism’s era.The writers believed that it was imagination that created a new vision to understand the world and this idea helped to understand human’s feelings where they lived through this.Besides, it could be named as an spontaneous social movement in which it was caused a new thinker’s view in the community.
On the other hand, the Industrial Revolution in which people had more participation and the country was transformed in business expanding literature in the rest of the world. It was generated the free work in a regenerated world in which poets proclaimed the human spirit. Moreover, there was an authentic freedom of the constant search in which it was connected with the way of feeling. For instance, in the book Frankestein should connect their own feelings into the society beacause he was part of an art experiment. He felt like a horrible monster and he was that one.
To conclude, there was an experiment that made reality or fantasy in which different situations were a mixed of extreme emotions and feelings which were one of the main characteristics in Frankenstein’s book related with Industrial Revolution.
